Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : Candidate should be M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Chemistry / Environmental Science/ Agricultural Chemistry / Soil Science or on allied relevant discipline in Earth Sciences from recognized University with good academic background. Preference will be given to C.S.I.R./U.G.C./N.E.T qualified candidates with knowledge in computer and statistical analysis having good writing skills. Competence and experience in the line of work will also be honored.

Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :Selected candidate has to carry out field trials and chemical analysis involved in various experiments under the project along with preparation of draft report and manuscript.

Age limit ( आयु सीमा ) : Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 3rd October, 2017.

Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : Final year students pursuing M.Sc in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Agricultural Chemistry/Chemistry/ Environmental Sciences or equivalent post graduate course.

Age limit ( आयु सीमा ) : Maximum 25 years as on 3rd October, 2017. A relaxation of age-limit up to 2 years may be considered by the competent authority in the case of applicants who are suitably qualified. In the case of applicants of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes, age relaxation upto 5 years maybe allowed.

About Tea Research Association

The beginning of a new era of tea research in India was marked by the establishment of the Scientific Department of Indian Tea Association (ITA) in the year 1900. This was consolidated with the creation of the Tocklai Experimental Station in 1911. The formation of the Tea Research Association (TRA) in 1964 with Tocklai at the centre of all activities further expanded the horizon of tea research to cover the entire Northeast India. Research on all aspects of tea cultivation and processing is carried out at Tocklai Experimental station, Jorhat the oldest and the largest research station of its kind in the world. Transfer of technology to its member estates is carried out through its advisory network covering 1076 tea estates occupying 3,41,049 ha of land spread over The South Bank, North Bank, Upper Assam, Cachar, Tripura, Dooars, Darjeeling and Terai. Tocklai has its substation at Nagrakata. Membership is voluntary.
